IVF Lite

It is a less intensive version of standard IVF.l, involving the usage of lower doses of fertility medications to stimulate the ovaries, aiming to produce fewer eggs compared to conventional IVF.

When to opt for IVF lite?

This approach can reduce costs, minimize side effects, and lower the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). It may be suitable for women with a good ovarian reserve or those who prefer a less invasive treatment. IVF Lite offers a less aggressive approach than traditional IVF, focusing on quality rather than quantity of eggs.

How does it work?

Ovarian Stimulation: Lower doses of fertility medications to stimulate the ovaries, aiming to produce a few high-quality eggs.

Monitoring: Regular ultrasounds and blood tests track medication response checking follicle development and hormone levels.

Triggering Ovulation: Once the follicles mature, a trigger shot is given to induce ovulation and prepare the eggs for retrieval.

Egg Retrieval: Eggs are collected from the ovaries using a minor surgical procedure

Fertilization: Collected eggs are fertilized in the lab with sperm. In IVF Lite, conventional insemination or ICSI may be used.

Embryo Transfer: One or more embryos are selected and transferred into the woman’s uterus a few days after fertilization.

Post-Procedure Care: After the embryo transfer, the woman may take medications to support implantation and pregnancy. A pregnancy test is conducted a couple of weeks later to determine if the procedure was successful.
